Applications for the Northern Districts (ND) Cricket Regional Facilities Fund will open on 11 December 2023.
The purpose of the Fund is to optimise current and future facility assets to promote the growth of cricket in the community. We want cricket to be a game for all which means that we need suitable spaces and places to play throughout our ND region.
The Fund has been established with a pool of up to $250,000 available for regional capital expenditure projects identified as priorities through the regional facilities audit which was completed this year. A maximum of $50,000 may be granted within each of ND’s six District Association regions.
“We are very excited to see the development of facilities around the ND region,” says ND CEO Ben MacCormack. “This is an opportunity to get projects off the ground and make cricket accessible to more people in more locations,” he added.
The funding is intended to assist with the direct costs of capital expenditure projects, which could include (but is not limited to) the replacement of artificial turf on wickets, new grass wickets, changing room improvements, and the construction of practice nets.
Applications will be accepted by entities that have a legal status, including Incorporated Societies, Charitable Trusts, Regional/Local Councils, Not-For-Profits, and schools.
