Dave Anderson, 11 December 1939 - 22nd October 2024.
Dave Andersen was a left arm medium pace bowler who represented Northern Districts in two Plunket Shield games in the 1967/68 season.
Dave had previously played his cricket in Auckland. He represented Auckland at Brabin Cup [U20] level and played for the NZ Colts team in their 1959/60 tour of Australia [ other members of that team included future NZ players Bruce Murray and Brian Hastings and Peter McGregor, another to represent both Auckland and ND].
Dave represented Auckland in three first class games in the 1960/61 season before moving to live in the Bay of Plenty region. He represented BOP from 1967/68 until 1972/73.
Dave took 10 wickets in his 5 match first class career. Never short of stamina, he bowled 34 overs in an innings for Auckland v CD and had several other 20 over plus workloads.
