Northern Districts U17's claimed our first national U17 title since 2002/03 with an outstanding run of six consecutive wins last week.
The achievement was down to a dominant all-round team display, with contributions made right across the group.
The side racked up some huge scores, posting 350 twice with Sam Clode, Snehith Reddy, Aryandeep Mann and Xavier Bell all finishing among the top run scorers.
The bowling effort was just as impressive; led by Snehith Reddy, Gus Tustin and Benji Bell, the side took all ten wickets in every fifty over match.
“It was an awesome week for this group both on and off the field," said Northern Districts Pathway and Talent manager Brett Sorrenson. "How they went about their work each day was exceptional and the brand of cricket they played was exciting and pleasing to see."
“Prior to the tournament we had a significant focus for this group on connection and what our point of difference is as a team beyond the winning – how they came together as a group was a credit to their character and the results were a reflection of this as well. The amount of learning and the positive experience this group had will be beneficial moving forward for them all as young men.”
